Susanne Zwingel

I am a German born, now also US American, transnational feminist. I am an Associate Professor of Politics and International Relations at Florida International University in Miami, Florida. The world interests me with all its beauties and challenges and I love to travel.

As my family knows, I like to discuss profane and profound questions (“why is it that …?” being a typical part of the dinner table conversation). I speak German, English and Spanish and am currently most comfortable in English.

With the myriad of languages and knowledge systems around the world, translation is one of my favorite subjects. Next to the question of how we can make the world more fair, especially as far as gender relations are concerned.
